An Old Man and a Fat Canadian headline revamped Phillies announce team

Philadelphia play-by-play man Tom McCarthy will have esteemed company in the broadcast booth. 

Loooonnngg time MLB veterans Jamie Moyer and Matt Stairs will call Phillies games beginning in 2014. Without speaking a word, the duo is instantly gives the Phillies the coolest broadcast team in the nation. They replaced Chris Wheeler and ex-big leaguer Gary Matthews.

The two will each work at least 100 games, and will be together in at least 30. 

Moyer was a starter for Philly’s World Series team in 2008, while Stairs handled pinch hitting duties. They played together for one more season, helping the Phillies clinch the National League in 2009.
